MULLER STRENGTHENS FLEET WITH ASD TUG “EN AVANT 30”

Towage and heavy transport specialist MULLER Dordrecht has further strengthened its multipurpose fleet with the latest addition of the ASD tug EN AVANT 30.

By continuing to invest in its multipurpose fleet, MULLER Dordrecht is ensuring growth and maintains its strong position in the market now and in the future.

With this ASD tug, MULLER is able to both serve clients in the offshore market, and operate harbour assistance service in the major ports surrounding the Port of Rotterdam region.

In a nutshell, the specifications of the EN AVANT 30 are as impressive as the 110-ton bollard pull vessel, which was built by the Astilleros Armon Vigo Shipyard in Spain in 2011 and is equipped to undertake a range of services including (deep sea) towage, escort, anchor-handling, fire-fighting (FIFI 2), salvage and harbour assistance.

EN AVANT 30 has two Schottel SRP 3030 CPP (controlled pitch) propulsion units and is powered by two MAN 9L 27/38 engines of 3285 kW each. It’s 549m3 bunker capacity allows for both coastal open sea towage and, with a length overall of 40,70 m, it can still perform harbour and escort towage operations within the larger port areas.
Deck equipment includes two 110T/420T (pull/brake holding) hydraulic driven Rolls Royce escort winches, a 130T SWL escort hook, a 110T/250T hydraulic driven Ibercisa waterfall type anchor handling and towing winch, a 130T SWL towing hook, two 10T/15T hydraulic driven Ibercisa tugger winches, a Palfinger deckcrane, a Karmoy Karm Fork and Towing Pins, a 250T SWL stern roller.

Remarkable about this tug is the extreme power of its firefighting system, made by the two Kvaerner pumps 3600m3/hr each, two remote controlled monitors for water/foam with Fog, Spray and Jet utilisation fully compliant with FIFI 2.
