The Tschudi Group is pleased to announce the establishment of Tschudi Mozambique Lda to enter the South-East African offshore market.
A partnership has been set up with EnergyWorks, a well-established Mozambican company with a solid knowledge of doing business in the local market known for providing services in the oil and gas industry. Mozambique has vast unexplored oil and gas reserves and limited offshore infrastructure and a local presence is a key success factor for operating in the South-East African market.
Tschudi has a strong track record of operating the Group’s AHTS vessels offshore Angola. In this new venture, Tschudi will continue to provide high quality services to the South-East African oil and gas sector.
The Group will have a competitive advantage when tendering for projects in this up and coming offshore market. Additionally, clients will benefit from in-depth market knowledge, know-how from challenging sea operations and a dedicated crew with many years of experience from West African procedures.
Director, Mark de Jonge comments: “This is a great and exciting step for both Tschudi and EnergyWorks. We are now well prepared for the expected demand for offshore supply vessels (OSVs) and multiple tenders in the Mozambican offshore industry while also being able to provide ample opportunity for local manpower and services. Also with two platform supply vessels (PSVs) now in our fleet we are able to offer a wider range of services to our clients.”
Owner of EnergyWorks, Nuno Uinge expresses: “This is a great pleasure and opportunity as it will fulfill a dream that has oriented and influenced the creation of EnergyWorks – to develop a Mozambican company to serve the oil and gas industry. This partnership with Tschudi will provide local specialized services with international standards required for the complexity of the industry. Through this venture with Tschudi Mozambique one of our aspirations is to have Mozambican crew.”
